چکیده
Aim: To compare the effect of isometrics, isotonic concentric and eccentric strengthening techniques on patients diagnosed with subacromial impingement syndrome. Methods: The study design used is randomized clinical trial. 36 are allocated in 3 groups 12 each group age limit from 30-50 years treated for 6 weeks alternate days baseline exercise plan respectively. Each patient received 18 sessions plan. Intervention divided into 2 phases, phase weeks. Outcome measuring tools Numeric Pain Rating Scale(NPRS) to measure pain, Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) muscle strength was assessed at Day 0, Week3, Week 6. Result: Results generated by using SPSS 21. Post treatment ONE WAY ANOVA showed no significant difference reduction pain NPRS GROUP1 isometric GROUP2 & GROUP3 One way anova p value .117 which greater than 0.05. all rotator cuff muscles. Conclusion: Isometric conclusively proved be better as compared program Keywords: Subacromial Impingement Syndrome, Isometric, Isotonic Eccentric, Concentric.

متن کاملAuthor's response to reviews Title: A comparison of isometric, isotonic concentric and isotonic eccentric exercises in the physiotherapy management of subacromial pain syndrome/rotator cuff tendinopathy: study protocol for a pilot randomised controlled trial. Authors:
A well-written abstract that contains the needed information to inform the reader about the intended pilot study, the main goals being (a) determining the feasibility of a future trial and (b) treatment effects. The following are suggestions to improve the Abstract: Comment 1 * Line 38: the authors state the study is to determine "feasibility" but it is unclear what "feasibility" is or how it i...
متن کاملA comparison of isometric, isotonic concentric and isotonic eccentric exercises in the physiotherapy management of subacromial pain syndrome/rotator cuff tendinopathy: study protocol for a pilot randomised controlled trial
Background Subacromial pain syndrome (SPS) involving rotator cuff tendinopathy is a common cause of shoulder pain and disability. Evidence suggests that structured physiotherapy may be as effective as surgery in this condition with significant improvements demonstrated in trials involving scapular retraining, rotator cuff strengthening and flexibility exercises. Most published programs typicall...
متن کاملReviewer’s report Title: A comparison of isometric, isotonic concentric and isotonic eccentric exercises in the physiotherapy management of subacromial pain syndrome/rotator cuff tendinopathy: study protocol for a pilot randomised controlled trial
Sample size calculation: Can the authors provide means and SDs on which the effect size (of 0.66) is estimated (for the main trial), rather than stating an effect size without any justification? It may be that this effect size is unrealisic, in which case the main trial would be underpowered at 30 per group. A sample size of 12 per group for the pilot study is very small and I am concerned that...
متن کاملThe effect of combined isometric and isotonic exercises on brain stroke patients’ static balance
Background: Balance in stroke patients because of damage to muscles and control centers of the body are disrupted. Aim: To determine the effect of combined isometric and isotonic exercises on brain stroke patients’ static balance. Method: In this clinical trial, 30 male patients with brain stroke were randomly allocated to one of experimental or control groups. An 8-week combined isometric and ...
